The scene changes from Tobias’ bed room (SO SCANDALOUS.. jk
nothing happened) to their walk to the banquet. Once they arrive, they part
ways and head off to their respected tables. I’m wondering when they will be
able to be couple publicly, if ever I guess. Back with Christina and Will, Tris
and her friends discuss what the future has in store for them. The subject changes
to Fear Landscapes. Christina asks Tris why the leaders were laughing while
watching hers. Oh my goodness, I couldn’t contain my laughter at that part.
Good luck getting out of that one Tris. She ends up telling the truth because
why not I guess?
Something shocking happens.. The Dauntless are quiet. WHAT?
That’s unheard of. There is a reason however; Eric is going to announce the
rankings of the initiates, determining who will become members, and who will
not.
1. Tris
2. Uriah (YAY! I like him.)
3. Lynn
4. Marlene
5. Peter (Oh well, at least he is below Tris!)
6. Will
7. Christina
The other initiates are irrelevant (that’s a bit harsh, but
you know, sorry not sorry) because they don’t mean a thing to the plot and Tris
doesn’t know who they are. But you know what this means? Drew and Molly aren’t
members. They have now been deemed factionless. SUCK IT. This is why I believe in Karma. Although, that
doesn’t explain how Peter got in. Oh well, his time will come I suppose. But
before this action packed chapter can come to a close, Tris realizes something
awful. She has figured how the Erudite will get the Dauntless to fight.
“You beat them!” he shouts back. He releases me, laughing,
and runs into a crowd of Dauntless-born initiates.
