So let me start off by saying Peter is a prick. (I'm hoping that is a school appropriate word because I couldn't find one that got my point across that wouldn't be considered "vulgar".) Tris walks in to find him being a horrid person and reading an Erudite article bashing Abnegation and her family. I don't understand why the jerk can't just keep to himself and leave Tris alone. I'm sitting here like Chris Crocker right now. By the way, he is the "leave Brittany alone" guy! Anyway, steering away from my tangent and back to the topic at hand. Also, Molly is a disgusting excuse for a human being because she decided she would put in her ten cents to the article, making not only Tris and her family look bad, but creating a suspicion of corruption of the Abnegation faction. Tris loses her cool, understandably. I'm so done with the antagonists in this book. Kill 'em. Kill 'em all.
But it doesn't stop there. *me muttering to myself* No of course it doesn't. Four calls out to Tris when she is with her friends and guess what! He's drunk and acting like a sleaze ball. (I'm forcing myself to come up with new insults, so I'm sorry if they are awful.) He tells her she looks good and winks at her and it just made me want to cry because there is no way to know if it was him or the booze talking. I absolutely hate when people are drunk. If I were her I would have responded with a strongly worded remark about how he can talk to me when he is sober.
Al rescues her by picking her up and running with her to the dining hall. That part gave me conflicted feelings. I know how much I love Four, and how much I am shipping Trour (the name I made up for them like Brangelina!), but there is a tiny part of my heart that is rooting for Al, despite his flaws. He seems like a good guy and he always looks out for Tris. But who knows, it could all change... HINT.
"His words surprise me, and my heart leaps. I wish it didn't, because judging by the way his eyes slide over mine, he has no idea what he's saying."
